Janine Wingate qualified as a Hygienist from Kings College Hospital in 1984 and she joined the practice in 1989.
OUR RANGE OF SERVICES
We offer a full range of Private and NHS services including Preventive Dentistry, General Restorative Dentistry, Crown and Bridgework,Implants, Cosmetic Dentistry, Tooth Whitening, Dentures and Oral Surgery.
To help you look after your teeth we offer a good range of dental care products.
DRILL-FREE FILLINGS
The PREP STAR air abrasion system produces a gentle air stream of microabrasive particles, delivered through a small handpiece, that quickly and gently smooth away decay. The handpiece actually never makes direct contact with the tooth. Not only does the precision of air abrasion allow more healthy tooth structure to be conserved, it's now possible to treat decay at its earliest stages before more serious problems develop. The uncomfortable vibrations, friction & heat of the dental drill are eliminated & anaesthesia is usually not required.
IMPLANTS
Bicon implants can replace single or multiple missing teeth with crowns that will not be subject to decay. They can also support your existing full or partial denture, eliminating the need for denture adhesives and embarrassment and discomfort of loose dentures.
APPOINTMENTS AND EMERGENCIES
You can make an appointment by telephone or you can call in to make arrangements (below you will find our regular appointment times).
If you need to be seen urgently, telephone the surgery for advice. If treatment is essential, we will do our best to arrange it within 24 hours. For emergencies out of hours registered patients will be given an emergency telephone number.
Please give us as much notice as possible if you have to cancel an appointment.
Once your initial treatment is complete, we encourage you to come back to the practice at regular intervals to see that everything is going well.
Your next visit can be arranged before you leave the surgery.
We operate a recall system to remind you when your next visit is due.
CHOOSING THE BEST WAY TO PAY
After your teeth have been examined and a treatment plan has been agreed, you will be given an estimate of the cost of the work to be done.
Our normal procedure is for the patient to pay at the end of each visit for the treatment carried out.
For technical work which has to be sent to a laboratory, a deposit before treatment will be required and final payment made on completion.
Patients can choose to pay by cash or cheque, debit or credit card.
If you qualify for free treatment under the NHS, we will be able to discuss the details and give you advice.
Remember, if you are under 18 or under 19 in full-time education, you qualify for free NHS dental care.
If you are worried about the cost of dental treatment or find any point about charges difficult to understand, please let us know.
